FIELD TRIAL LABRADOR RETRIEVERS

23-01-2012: In January, it is natural for many sporting gundog people to make a short halt and review the working results of their dogs over the last year. I had this mail from Henrik Paulsen, where he tells about his dog, Ravensbank Sexy Sadie (Cindy) who today is only one year and eight months old:

  • Passed the aptitude test with max. point

  • 3 unofficial cold game tests novice class - all with 1st prize

  • 4 official cold game tests novice class 3 of them with 1st prize and 1 with 2nd prize

  • 2 unofficial working tests - of which one was with 6th Winner and one was passed

  • 1 official working test where she became 8th winner

  • 1 unofficial cold game test in open class (non-competition), 1st prize

  • Cindy has been picking up at one shoot where she retrieved 10 pheasants. She was slightly surprised that pheasants could use their wings for more than flying but otherwise she did excellent and Cindy was more and more focused yet still calm as the day went on.

The spring of 2012 Cindy will be challenged with having a 1st prize in cold game tests open class (non-competition) and in the fall we will see what happens.

I am mighty impressed with this list of merits from a young dog like Cindy in her first working season! Cindy is a full sister to the current litter of puppies.
